Mantlepoint Complete! Looking Foward to Future Projects
I have released the first and final update for my very first game: The Mantlepoint Discovery! I really want to thank everyone who has played or will play it, those who showed support on Discord, those who interacted with the Diver Explorer Jam, and of course to my friends who showed genuine interest and support for my new hobby .
The Update Includes:
- Fully developed visual style and proper set dressing.
- A proper ending sequence, though it's arguably weirder than the previous lack of one.
- Slight expansion of the story and a focus on the theme of life and concrete combining; "Bio-Brutalism" I'm calling it.
- Better immersion through audio (headphones recommended).
- Hopefully, no bugs!
Again, I'd like to thank everyone who interacted with this project and got me motivated to finally release a game (I don't count the pong one but I think I'll leave it up). I absolutely plan on releasing more games in the future; I'm actually planning one right now. I'll try to keep the story a bit more grounded this time, I admit I got a little weird with this past one. I've also learned to document my process more, both to motivate myself and share my work before a flat release date. That being said, I'm excited to get my creativity out there, while making games that other people enjoy.
Thank you,
Daniel B.
